Condolence From: Karen and Cam Scroggins
Condolence: Our sincerest condolences go out at this time to your family. Millie was a dear friend to my mom, Van McMillan. They were both involved with St. Gerard Majella for many years and shared many years of service to the church as well as social activities. There was a close knit group of ladies and gentleman and they were the foundation of the Parish for many years. Millie was good to my mom and when mom was unable to drive, Millie would visit mom at home. My mom passed away in March but she asked about Millie and her friends from the church often. I hope that all the good memories will help ease the sorrow you all must feel.

Our thoughts are with you all.

Cam and Karen Scroggins.

Condolence: Memories flood back at times like this: Millie and family visiting us in North Bay or we visiting them in Cochrane; Showing Robert around Scollard Hall when he was still well enough to get around; a trip with my Mother, Gerry, and Aunt Phonnie (Stephanie Cosgrove) to visit Millie in the Sault, and the wonderful afternoon we all spent with Bishop Papin a few months before he died.

Aunt Millie was one of the most positive people I have known. Always a cheerful word, no matter what the occasion. We will all miss her.

Our sincere condolences to Debbie and Stuart, Paul and Heather, Betty Ann and Susan

Condolence: Dear Deb and Stu, Paul and Heather and family,
We here at Pinecrest Condo have missed our deal Millie for some time. Her beautiful spirit along with her beautiful appearance; that lovely white hair and red coat she wore in the winter always made me think she was somehow connected to Santa with her cheery smile and quick word of greeting as we shared an elevator ride.

Stu and Deb - I saw you here virtually for days and weeks as you worked to resettle Millie to Pathways and in so doing I am sure you gave her peace of mind knowing she was being cared for. Time for you two to rest.

You all honor your dear Mom with your Celebration of her life. I would love to come and pay my respects in person but am not able to do so, please accept my deepest sympathy.

Susan.

Condolence: Positive, generous, warm, engaging, fun – just a few of the adjectives to describe Aunt Millie. Those attributes continue on in her children - and in our memories – for a long time.

Condolence From: Colleen McGrayne Hocking
Condolence: To the Vesala family:
My sincere condolences on the passing of your dear mother/grandmother Millie. She was a very good and loyal friend to my parents, the late Caroline and Harold McGrayne Sr. Whether it was singing in the St. Gerard Majella choir with my mom, or bringing Communion to my parents when they no longer could attend church, Millie was always there to lend a hand. As mom's condition rapidly declined, Millie never forgot mom, as many had. Millie always kept in touch, and although mom could not speak, I knew that she understood that her friend had remembered her. Millie was a true friend, and will be greatly missed. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the visitation and funeral, but please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all in the difficult days ahead.
