Obituary for Steve Butorac

Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday August 23, 2018, in his 87th year. Loving husband of Mary Anne “Cookie” Butorac (nee Turco). Steve will be fondly remembered by his sons Tony (Stephanie), Marty (Liz) and Danny (Allison). Father of the late infant daughter Mary Jo. Pops of Jessie, Anthony, Brittany, Michael (Morgan), Nicholas and his furry Granddog Ty. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Zora (nee Butkovich) Butorac and his brother Joseph (late June) Butorac. Brother-in-law of Irene Dowding (late Dick), Elaine Latvanen (Gary) and Mike Turco (Marylou). Steve will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Waiting to welcome him are his friends Enzo, Frankie, Dickie and Fred. Steve was an avid sports enthusiast, especially hockey and fastball were his passion. The family would like to thank WeCare, Para Med, especially Krystal, Barb, Amanda, nurse Eliza as well as the Doctors, nurses and staff of Emergency and the 3rd floor of the Sault Area Hospital for the care given to Steve. A very special thank you to Dr. Howard Ginsberg from St. Michaels Hospital for giving us the last 9 years with Steve. As per Steve’s wishes, private family services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to ARCH or Light the Cross
