Passed away peacefully with family at his side on January 8, 2018 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Nancy Horne for 58 years. Loving father of Catherine Crack (Ken) and Allison Horne Grisdale (Jim). Proud Grandpa of Tammy Horne (Yogi Primeau), Jasmine Horne (Gord Badgero), Erin Horne (Derek Morianti) and Rhonda Strum. Great grandpa of Cassidy, Desiree, Blake, Johnathon, Nicholas, Alexis, Alyssa and Madison. As per Gerald's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will take place in the spring. The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff of 2A at the Sault Area Hospital for their wonderful care during his time there and to the staff of ARCH for their compassionate care in his final days. In lieu of flowers, donations to ARCH or SAH would be appreciated.
