Obituary for Jessiemae Mary Sheehan

Passed away peacefully with her family and friends by her side, on April 12, 2017 in her 89th year. Jessie Mae is survived by her brother Michael, wife Linda and sister Gwen Godfrey. She is lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews who viewed her as their second mom. Aunt Mae will be greatly missed by her many great and great, great, nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Jessie Mae was a faith filled woman whose love for Christ and commitment to the church was evident in her involvement in Blessed Sacrament Parish and the House of Hope. Her faith and spirituality were an inspiration for all who were privileged to know her. Aunt Mae loved sports and her passion for hockey and curling were legendary. She never tired of talking about her beloved Montreal Canadiens and Soo Greyhounds. Jessie Mae is now reunited with her mother and father: Jessie and Dan Sheehan, her brothers: Daniel, Terry and Dennis and her sisters: Pat Barrow and Betty Fiset. Friends and Family are invited to visit at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James St.) on Sunday April 16, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Precious Blood Cathedral at 11:00 a.m. on Monday April 17, 2017 with Rev. Hamish Currie officiating. Internment will be held at a later date in Blind River. Memorial Donations can be made to Precious Blood Cathedral Journey Fund or to the Diabetes Association.
