Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with her family by her side on Thursday March 16, 2017 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Jim for 62 years. Loving mother of Sara (Kevan), Kathy, Jim (Nimet), John (Julija). She will be lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Mark Mei (Marilyn). Grandma of Mark (Niveen), Jessica (Mann), Matthew, Kyle, Ricki, Anneka and Tanner. Great Grandma of Sophie, Asher and Oliver. Dear sister of Dorothy Irvine (Dot) (late Alec) and Cecil Day (Charlene). As per Alice’s wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 21, 2017 from 1:00pm-4:00pm in the Great Lakes Room at the Quattro Hotel. Alice was a life member of the Eastern Star for many years as secretary. She was known as the dancing queen and will be missed by her friends at Bay Mills. The family would like to thank Pauline and the nurses and doctors of the Sault Area Hospital 3C for the fantastic care given to Alice. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
