Obituary for Donna Louise Hudson

Donna Louise Hudson
On February 20, 2017 heaven’s gates opened and Donna was welcomed by a great cloud of witnesses. She was 74. Daughter of the late Carlyle and late Alice Bookman and sister to Darl Bookman (Lorrena). She was loved and will be greatly missed by her husband of 35 years Ken, and her children; Linda Hawdon (Reg), Debbie LaRocque (Ovide), Tim Guenette (Lesa), the late Kim Guenette and Deedee Huckerby (Gary). She held a special place in the hearts of her grandchildren; Kiel Patrie, Jean Paul Tibbo, Cynthia Guenette (Kyle McCaughley), Jennifer Rawlins (Kevin), Calvin Guenette (Taryn Brown), the late Kelly LaRocque, Alicesa Pullan (Jeff), Mikayla and Baylee Huckerby and Andrew Kartasinski. Step children Cindy Laplante (Brian) and family and Verna Trudel (Dan) and family. She didn’t get to see her great-grandchildren often but her last trip to Alberta thrilled her when she got to meet them all; Sasha, Nevaeh and Hayley Rawlins, Adam and Clara Rose McCaughley. Much loved Auntie Donna of Derrick Bookman and Joyce Ervin and Brenda Bookman. She will also missed by her sister-in-law Phyllis MacKay (John) and many other family and friends. She had a big heart and always more concerned for others than herself. At her request there will be a farewell party to celebrate her life at 7pm on March 3rd, 2017 at the Laird Twp. Hall on the corner of Pumpkin Point Rd & Hwy 17E with country music, dancing and in her words… “Don’t forget the food. Can’t have a party without food.” Cremation will have taken place and she will be interred in the spring with her son Kim at Mountain Maple Cemetery St. Joseph Island, ON.
