Obituary for Wendy Delphine Marsden (Whalen)

Wendy Delphine Marsden (Whalen)
With sorrow our family announces the passing of our daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend Wendy Marsden (nee Whalen) at the Sault Area Hospital on February 4, 2017 at the young age of 47. She fought a good fight, but God saw she was tired and called her home. Loving daughter of Francis Whalen (Bernice) and the late Sharon Lutes (Melvin). Younger sister to Victor Whalen (Carrie), big sis to Peter Burke and George Burke (Jane). Aunt to Jessica, Mallory, Heather, Caitlin and Chelsea. Great aunt to 10 nieces and nephews. She will be missed by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Wilson for her extraordinary care and support of Wendy’s fight for life. As well to all the nurses on 3A for your kindness and compassion in Wendy’s final days. Until we meet again! As per Wendy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral, A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017 at the Salvation Army (670 John St.) from 1:00pm-3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to T. A. A.G.
A limb has fallen from the family tree. I keep hearing a voice that says, grieve not for me. Remember the best times, the laughter, the song. The good life I lived while I was strong. continue my heritage, I’m counting on you. Keep smiling and the sun will shine through. My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest. Remembering all, how I truly was blessed. Continue traditions no matter how small. Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls. I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin. Until the day comes we’re together again. Author Unknown
