Baxter, Erleen Leonard (Earl)-
It is with heavy hearts to announce the passing of Erleen Leonard Baxter on March 8, 2018 at the age of 80. Earl will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend, Lois. He will forever be remembered by his 4 children, Jeff (of Vernon, B.C.), Jamey (Beverly), Donna Rhodes (Andrew) and Jason (Gloria). Proud grandpa of Nick (AKA Louie), Dawson, Hannah Rhodes, Alexander, Jaxson, Rebecca, Alicia and Katie Lynn Baxter. He is predeceased by his parents, Jack & Bertha and by all of his 9 siblings. He was born in Shedica, New Brunswick and moved to the Soo with his mother after the passing of his father. He worked and retired from The City Board of Works. Upon retirement, he purchased a backhoe and took pride working "little jobs" and making friends along the way. He was a very strong, kind and generous man. He enjoyed spending and making memories with his family, tinkering in his garage and going out to camp. Earl's family would like to thank the Sault Area Hospital and CCAC for the excellent care and compassion they showed Earl and his family. As per Earl's wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
