Obituary for
Roland Raymond Bre
It is with profound sorrow that I, Irma Giovanatti-Bré, announce the passing of my beloved and loving husband, Roland Bré, on September 30, 2016 at the Sault Area Hospital. Roland was pre-deceased by his parents Maurice and Gabrielle Bré (Dudeffend). He will be deeply mourned by his three loved and loving daughters- Natalie, Stephanie and Isabelle Bré. Roland was the adoring grand-father of Maё Elice Bré and Jules Calvayrac. Roland is survived and sorely missed by three sisters and two brothers: Michellle Garde (late Sylvain), Suzanne Robigo (Norbert), Paulette Jouannet (late Jean Claude), André Bré (Suzanne) and Robert Bré (Odile). Roland was the adored uncle of 13 nieces and nephews. Roland will be deeply missed by his brother-in-law, Clement Giovanatti and by his best friends Gabriel Brossaud and Serge Ballan (Dominique). Roland was, first and foremost, a family man. Roland was a career officer in the French Airforce. His larger-than-life stature and engaging personality dominated the room. Roland was a superb gardener who, on several occasions, won the first prize for the best garden in the City Beautification Contest. He was passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of nature. Roland was slow to anger, humble, persevering and patient. He left his mark on everyone and everything he touched. He lived simply and with gratitude. I can’t tell the countless times he uttered “merci mon Diue”!. Death may have separated us physically but It cannot deny, nor arrest, our exceptional love. Rest now, my beloved, in the ever-loving arms of our Master until we meet again. Je t’aime, je t’aime, je t’aime! Adieu mon amour, mon chéri. Roland and I are grateful to all who tried to cure him: Doctors Beduhn, Reich, Fratesi, O’Brien, Di Fabbio and the nursing staff of ICU, the step-down unit and to anyone else who contributed to his care. Donations to the charity of your choice. Funeral Mass at Precious Blood Cathedral, 778 Queen St. E. Thursday October 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Daniele Muscolino officiating. Interment in Holy Sepulchre to follow. k
