Suddenly with her family by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday September 13, 2016, at the age of 54. Devoted wife to Rick Atkinson, loving mother to her daughters Shannon Holtom (Steve) and Karly Parsons (Tyler), special Otay of Hannah, Kole, Klara and Oliver. Predeceased by her parents Rollande (Rolly) and Paul Pelletier. Sister of Fred Pelletier, Lynne Souliere (John) and Ken Pelletier. Daughter in-law of William Atkinson and the late Jacqueline Atkinson. Sister-in-law to Thomas Atkinson (Debbie), Gary Atkinson (Rachel), Brenda Veltri (John), Larry Atkinson, Dennis Atkinson (Monica), Terry Atkinson (Sherri), Bill Atkinson (Mary) and Rob Atkinson (Natalie). Susan will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (215 St. James Street) on Friday September 16, 2016 from 11:00am until time of service in the chapel at 2:00pm with Father Francis Ezenezi officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. DiFabio, Mike, Dave and all the staff of the Sault Area Hospital ICU for their tireless efforts and care given to Susan. Memorial donations in Susan’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
